How might I get my DVR to stop recording programs not scheduled?

Do you have these shows set up as "Series Recordings" or do you choose them one-at-a-time? &nbsp; Is the DVR recording shows you like but did not set for recording? &nbsp;or are they just selected randomly?

Hi LacMart. You want to check the series recordings to make sure you are recording just new shows and not all. The setting may depend on which DVR you currently have. Actually I am not choosing them, as I did not set them for recording. They seem to be random.&nbsp;

Do you have multiple DVR boxes in your home?  If so, have you attempted to do a hard reset of all of your cable boxes to see if that works?

MarkM, &nbsp;for years, anyone who posted a question about their DVR was told by a moderator to "do a hard reset of all cable boxes". &nbsp;That led to much unhappiness. &nbsp;Forum visitors learned to put "I have done a hard reset" in their question to avoid this answer. &nbsp;Can you ask an engineer what might be causing the problem of random recordings and edit your reply? &nbsp;That way we can help future visitors who have the same problem.
