Thanks for all of the replies. I don't know what a mini box is. We had older silver Cox boxes and they worked fine for our purpose. We were forced to upgrade to the 4742hdc boxes.
The boxes are in an A/V rack in the office and component cables go to the TVs. I wish they had been CAT6 or HDMI, but that is what we were stuck with. Each box has an IR sender that sticks to the front and goes out to the bar so the bartender can use a universal remote to select the box and change the channel on each box individually.
We've contacted someone local who apparently is familiar with these but they can't come over until next week. I am somewhat technical myself, but am frustrated about the lack of technical information on these Cisco boxes and Cox not willing to do anything more than swap out the old boxes with the new.
