No, I'm not downloading recordings. That would be unusual, and I wouldn't have mentioned the behavior of two other devices as a comparison if I had been treating one specially. The only thing more unusual than downloading recordings on one device would be downloading recordings on three devices. I've never downloaded a recording, just streamed.
Downloading and streaming both use data. Does streaming Cloud DVR recorded programming on a web browser count against a data usage cap? Allan

Hello CurtB,
If Cloud DVR recordings are downloaded using the watchtv site or the Contour TV App, it doesn't count toward data usage when on In-home WiFi.

DustinP Op specifically said he was streaming and not downloading.
Can the watchtv site stream Cloud DVR recorded programming? If not, does that mean OP must be using the Contour TV app to stream to Edge on a PC/Mac? Is there any other way to stream Cloud DVR recorded programming to a web browser?

I can't believe you're pressing this. This is not the problem. Please start your own thread to ask questions instead of making people experiencing actual issues refute the red herrings you introduce into their threads. What you're doing here is neither helpful nor appreciated.

Cox is vague on what impacts data usage. My questions were intended to get answers for myself and others with the same questions. I've read a lot of content from users who don't understand why their data usage is so high. But I don't recall seeing anyone else with your particular issue. You probably won't either.

Again, your "questions" have nothing to do with the problem I reported. All you're doing is creating a distraction here. Please start your own threads for your questions, and then everyone can have a good day.
