Zeus botnet

Got the email again.

1.6.2018 40730819

Last time I got the email I ran a bunch of scans, those recommended and those way deeper.  Noting found.  Have a desktop and cell phones on the network

Called today and was given the source IP address of the culprit.  I found out, later, that everything behind my router has the same address, so no help there.

Some other postings, in this forum, seem to make me believe that no one has found the cause or never reported back.

So, can Support give me the site and date and time that was visited that caused the flag for the Zues Botnet?   Or maybe any other info that would help to narrow down the issue?  I know that some actual sites may not be the "actual" site but is known to be connected to the problem.

When I was on the phone with Support, I was not given much other than the IP and sign up for the Cox AV service and the additional service for a monthly fee.

Has anyone actually been able to find a solution for this?

Thanks..........

    Hi Waterboyz,

Cox is not able to determine which device on your network has the Zeus Botnet.  Please ensure that your WiFi is password protected.  I recommend changing it to a more secured password.  If a neighbor is connected to your WiFi, it is possible that the neighbor's device may be the one that is infected with the Zeus Botnet.  If you have any further questions or concerns about the email you received, please call 1-800-753-6085 to speak with the Cox Customer Safety team.
