My kids' friends, some family members that comes to stay with us - its much easier if we just have the guest wifi for everyone so I don't have to say no to anyone.

if i didn't trust visitors in my home with my wifi info, they wouldn't be there!!

It's not a question of trust but probably convenience. Perhaps OP filters MAC addresses...perhaps OP doesn't broadcast...perhaps OP doesn't want to spell the SSID every time (not to mention the key)...perhaps OP prefers a "tight" network...perhaps OP wants to admin the network his or her way.
