want to purchase my own modem/router but want to keep the phone line

Looking to purchase my own modem to save rental fees. I want to keep my phone line. As I understand, I can not purchase a modem that will work with the phone line, but can be provided for free a modem for the phone from cox. Will this modem also provide me with internet - I have the preferred plan (150 Mbps)? If not, what exactly do l need to do?

    Yes, if you subscribe to Cox Voice, Cox will freely loan a combo DOCSIS-eMTA modem(s).  Do you have a Solution Store near you?

    Understand some services...such as the Wireless 4K Contour Steam Player...need the Panoramic so if you want to avoid renting the Pano, you'll need to swap your streamer for a coaxial cable-box.

      Thank you for the reply. No I do not stream videos, In fact I rarely use Wi-Fi. I do understand that If I go this route and I would need to buy a router for wi-fi.
