STOP LOCKING POSTS

Ok, I don't know if you guys get paid for locking posts, but I am getting tired of it. They are technical posts. Why aren't you allowing us users to help? Why even have this forum if all you moderators do is tell people to email you. I go through the hassle of writing a response and click post, only to get a error because a moderator locked it. Stop it

BeckySince you are one of the few moderators here that don't do this type of BS, can you respond? What is going on with the Social Media Team?

  • I certainly apologize for any confusion around the forum threads. If a situation is likely an account-specific concern, our team will lock the thread and assist them directly. We will forward this concern to our team so we'll be more mindful of the responses. Thank you for being a consistent responder in making the Cox Forums work for everyone.

That's the thing, there is no obvious account issue in the posts. Can you at least give us a hour or something before locking a post so you can see if the user-base is able to technically assist? I can see offering assistance or letting people know they can contact you directly if they want to, but why lock the thread? What does that serve? I am trying to understand your side of it. Break it down for me please.

  • I know how you feel .  My very first attempt to reply to a post failed because someone turned it off.  Very frustrating.

Technically, this will be my 2nd post.  πŸ˜†

Were you asking for help or offering to help someone? If the former, try making your own post.
