Roku streaming stick 4k no longer connects to WiFi after changing WiFi name and password

I recently changed my WiFi password on the cox mobile app, and of course needed to reconnect the aforementioned device to the network. After doing so it continuously fails to connect. I have restarted my streaming device numerous times, I have also restarted my modem a number of times, I’ve even factory reset my Roku device to no avail. I continue to get the same 14.30 error when clicking on my network. I’ve double checked passwords and even made new passwords. I’m not sure what is going on. I know my streaming device works because it will connect to my phones hot spot with zero issues and it does register my network saying the signal strength is good. So it must be an issue with the WiFi seeings that all my other devices work no problem please help.

Why did you need to change your password? Does it work if you change it back?

      Hi Greg,

I have the exact same scenario and issue as Rubi and cannot figure out anything to resolve this issue. I have tried resetting network settings and forgetting the wifi, but my Roku doesn’t even have that option in its advanced settings. Essentially I’m left out of luck unless I buy a streaming box, which would add unnecessary clunk and cost.

Is there anything else you can suggest? Thank you.

You can contact the manufacturer of the Roku device to get help with removing the wifi and connecting to it again or finding a way to change the network password in the Roku device. Thanks, Lisa, Cox Support Forums Moderator
