Repeated outages on Tuesdays?

Last Tuesday i had an "unplanned outage" in my area that was about 12 hours long with no real explanation. Now again today for the second Tuesday in a row, another "unplanned" outage in my area that has so far been about 6.5 hours- with no real explanation. Has anyone else experienced this or have any idea what it means? Why on a Tuesday in the middle of a time when many of us have work to do? Seriously considering finding a different provider.
