Repeated 'Change Security' messages

I have received a total of at least 3 messages to change my email security settings.  I changed them after the first message.  Why am I continuing to get the messages as if I hadn't made the change?

How many usernames do you have? How many devices access each username? Try changing all your passwords. It could be someone else STILL using the old settings, which would be a sign your account was hacked.

    Hello Gersen777,

Thank you for contacting Cox Social Media team. Cox sends a minimum of three email notifications advising users to take action to retain access. Since you have updated your email security settings you should not receive any more notifications. Thanks for your patience!

Final Notice: Action Required to Improve Your Cox Email Security

I’ve got to say, This is the absolute WORST case of being spammed that I have ever had (and it’s from my ISP)! One or two notices, or maybe even one or two to each of my five email addresses for a total of five or ten notices I could understand, but seven to each address for a total of thirty-five (so far), plus several sent through the USPS.  C’mon now!!!  Enough is enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

(My security settings were changed for each address on every device immediately after the first notice was received.)

  • at least this time they warned us ahead of time!

i still don't want to get up in the morning!!

and there are new issues i'm assuming are connected with this change.
