Phishing scam

I sent an email about an attempted phishing scam. It was sent back as undeliverables. If you are not going to respond, then why bother to list a phishing scam report email?

Tried to contact cox directly. Got no responses, except to offer more services at a higher price, or an offer to disconnect cox completely. When explained that a phishing scam was sent via cox emails, with cox logo, and cox information, told to send to a cox address. When I did so, the email was blocked and shown as undelivered. When mentioned to cox, was told cox does not support email and to look elsewhere for assistance.

I apologize for the confusion and I do want to help. Cox email has been handed over to Yahoo and they are now controlling all filtering and POP/IMAP and SMTP services for mail. Regardless of any Cox logos or indicators in the message body, they would need to block it for you. There are tools available to do that here: https://mail.yahoo.com/. Yahoo support is also available here: 866 562 7250. I hope this helps explain and please let me know if there's any additional information I can provide for you.

Hi, there. Please know the purpose of the Cox community forums is to allow customers to discuss technical topics related to residential Cox services with other customers and we encourage our users to assist each other where possible via this avenue. Billing and issues related to a specific account require the sharing of sensitive information to resolve which isn't best suited for a public forum. Please email us the physical address and any other pertinent information to Cox.Help@cox.com with your name and a copy of this forum message.  Because this post falls outside of the purpose of our forums I will be turning off replies to this thread. We look forward to receiving your email so that we may assist you.

  • Hi, there. I'm so sorry for the problem reporting a phishing attempt. As our email is now controlled by Yahoo, that would be where you will want to report the phishing attempt. Again, I do sincerely apologize for the confusion.
