I have the Linksys Velop and absolutely love it. I just plugged it into one of the Ethernet ports and it was up and running. It has a separate network from the Panoramic WiFi and will act as it's own DHCP server for that network so you'll have two different networks to connect to. But I haven't had a bit of trouble with it.
If you have Velop, why are your renting a Panoramic router?

For now, it's for the Contour receivers. I'm trying to find out if I can connect them to the Velop, but I'm getting conflicting information.

You have the Cox Wireless 4K Stream Players? If so, I do believe it only works through Panoramic routers.
Why not just rent the traditional (coax) cable boxes?
Do you rent the Wireless 4K Stream Players? I know you rent the Panoramic. You already paid for the router-mesh, so...
You could go with traditional cable boxes...get rid of the Panoramic rental...and just buy a modem. For what you've rented for the Panoramic, you could have paid for a modem by now.

I'm technically paying $0 for it right now as part of my package. I actually don't need the panoramic at all. I have a Unifi Security Gateway behind the Panoramic and an 8 port switch for some hardwired devices. The Gateway is technically to make a site-to-site VPN with my work, but I've held off for now. I need to put the Panoramic in bridge mode, but again, all of that is dependent upon the Contour working outside of the Panoramic wifi.
