You will have to disable WPS to be able to set it to wpa3. WPS and wpa3 are mutually exclusive to one another. WPS requires wpa 1 or 2, so if you have it enabled it cannot save wpa3.

How do you know OP is using WPS? If the Pano uses NFC for WPS, I can understand moving the client farther away.

because WPS is on by default, it would have to be disabled for WPA3.

I don't have the Pano. I thought these had a button for WPS. Does it require a PIN? Always on doesn't appear to be secure.

doesn't require pin, if you get PODS, they connect using WPS only. Which means if you happen to use PODS, you cannot turn off WPS and you cannot use wpa3
