I am sorry to hear your family was affected by the storm. But I never said you or anybody in Rogers was lucky. What I said was that people complaining about being without Internet should be thankful they are alive and well and still have their house. I'm talking about on your knees thanking God for watching over and protecting them. Others in Rogers were not so fortunate. While I realize the inconvenience for those still without Internet service, people who lost loved ones or their home would trade for that temporary problem. I wish to convey my deepest sympathies to the families who lost loved ones in the storm.
We are all thankful for what we’ve been blessed with. Some of us rely on the internet to make a living. We all have issues we have to deal with. It’s just we expect when we pay for a service we should expect that company to provide the service or at least let us know when we can expect it to be restored. No communication is not helpful.
My house was hit by the tornado. I've had a Cox line running across my backyard since that no one would even acknowledge at Cox. They kept trying to set up a service call like I had a problem. So I set it up, then they texted me saying it's canceled. It was insane! I was just trying to report their line down! Finally a few days ago a guy shows up from Cox, goes out and looks at it, then leaves. All I got out of him was that he was from MD. There are people in town who's Cox internet has been restored this past week. So I don't believe it's a power company issue anymore.
