I would like to use my home coax to get ethernet to the other end of my house. I'm doing that now with powerline bridges but the speed is not great. I might be able to get gigabit speed from moca 2.0...

We have a Cisco 9865 TV box. According to the Cisco moca installation guide, there is supposed to be a diagnostic screen showing moca 1.1 (which is backward compatible with moca 2.0). I have not been able to access the diagnostics on my device. You are supposed to hold down the EXIT key until the power light flashes. But that does not work for me. My wife sometimes gets the remote into a mystery state with a red power light. We were told by Cox support to pull the battery. Can you shed light on any of this?
- No information is available there unfortunately. I can't speak for the remote either but resetting often fixed many unexplained issues.
