Login to server imap.cox.net with username failed *Edited by Moderator

Question

My cox email suddenly stopped working on my PC and my phone. I get this error on my PC using outlook and for thunderbird: Login to server imap.cox.net with username failed. On my phone, it states trouble logging in.

*Edited by moderator to remove username to protect user privacy

I have the same problem since I upgraded my service support people have been less than helpful

Perhaps a moderator could edit the 2 usernames.
