Internet Data

Would like to know why such the fluctuation with data information.  My son and I have been really trying to understand where the information is coming from. My "Other" data went from 8% last statement to almost 30% this statement.  Please tell me where this other data is coming from because we are really starting to question if this information is legit.  If this data is questionable and you can't put it in a category then is it really data???  I know they are in process of configuring the data information but honestly it's looking really dishonest. We have been calculating everything we do.  Also apparently we went over 1 GB over my account allowance last statement and was charged for 10 GB., which is fine but I really think unused extra blocks purchased should roll over to my next statement.  Just really frustrated!

  • Hi 226navajo,

    Hi 226navajo,

Your frustrations are valid and we want to be as transparent as possible.  Please note the the usage meter has been certified and tested for accuracy by Cox and Netforecast, an independent third party.

The other category includes activities that make up a relatively small portion of your overall usage.  This also includes unrecognized traffic or activity that cannot be categorized.

There are many things that can cause the Date usage to jump.

As I read from your other customers here on this forum, it seems to be a big problem and I'm not the only one with an issue. 30% of the "other "data is not small!  8% is small. You still gave me no answer as to why the big jump and it appears I'm not the only one.  In fact they have tried all the numerous things you told them to do to somehow improve their data and to no avail.  Stop giving us the runaround on how your third party tested the data and everything is fine.  It's not fine.  We are your customers who you are failing to "service".  This is not a solution!
