how long will cox.net be valid

I have kept cox for mainly not wanting to lose my Cox.net email address. Now that Yahoo is the primary isp for cox mail, how long will it be valid. and should Ii transfer out of cox, would I lose it?

  • Hi smintz,

I am sorry you're thinking about cancelling your service with us. If this is the case and you've transitioned over to Yahoo already, your email will continue to be accessible. You can find this information on this site, https://www.cox.com/residential/support/access-and-log-in-to-yahoo-mail-after-transition.html

"Access the http://cox.net email address if I choose to discontinue services with Cox:

After the move to Yahoo Mail is complete, and you accept their Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, your http://cox.net email address will be supported by Yahoo and will be accessible to you even if you choose to discontinue service with Cox."

This may be an answer, but not to the question smintz asked. The question is "can I be confident that my cox.net address will be valid indefinitely?"  If not, how long will it be valid?
