Simply put...Cox will blacklist any telephone modem not returned to 'em because it was either lost or stolen.

Just an FYI, one cannot have a used, of any kind, TM3402 modem assigned to their Cox account. They simply cannot be registered in their system; the only TM3402A (and I believe all telephony modems, even if just for cable) they can use are their issued ones.
Wanted to clarify that for anyone looking to purchase their own telephony capable modem.
Simply put...Cox will blacklist any telephone modem not returned to 'em because it was either lost or stolen.
