Frustration is at an all time high
I upgraded to Gigablast in early August to make sure I had sufficient upload speeds to run my college classes smoothly. I have had nothing but heachaches since then. I have spent countless hours waiting on hold (and have been "accidentally disconnected" on multiple occasions. I have had a service tech out twice. Was charged $100 for a service call that did not correct my issue. One minute or even a few days in a row my internet speed will be find and then, nothing. I mean as in upload speeds near or at 0.
I have switched out my modem and was told that they could give me a $10 a month credit since I wasn't getting what was promised. Seriously? I have been as patient as I can be when this is making it impossible to effectively do my job. Today I switched back to the 500mbps download speed when the lady at the actual Cox store told me that would be eligible for upload speeds up to 30 mbps. It was great for about 2 hours, but i don't get upload speeds above 10Mbps. Now, it's 1.7.
The last tech that was out here replaced the line to my house and everything inside and told me that if that did not correct the problem then it was THEIR problem. Well, it didn't fix the problem and after being passed around on the phone for 30 minutes multiple times, getting different stories each time I am FRUSTRATED. And, there is no resolution in sight.
Is there any hope for me and my internet or should I just give up and try to find somewhere else to do my job?
