Forum posts have become spam!

Starting yesterday, Feb 3, my email account has been getting blown up with Cox Support Forum posts. I have never subscribed to the forum (although I do regularly brows it). Last night and again today I went to my account “Settings” and unchecked EVERY checkbox under Options, Email Digests, Subscriptions, and Notifications. After clicking on “Save” nothing happens and the settings do not appear to hold. I continue to get numerous Forum Posts in my email.
How can I make it stop?

This thing is pissing me off - I NEVER signed up to receive any of this ** and non-stop all morning I'm getting spammed with people bitching and moaning about their slow internet speeds. Yes, it's slow and overpriced. But get my contact info out of here! NEVER want to see this nonsense.

Same thing is happening to me too! What changed? I know I didn't do anything to make this happen.

I just marked a bunch as SPAM.

    STOP IT NOW COX!

Same here.  I have a lame duck email account (no longer a customer) and I’ve got about 50 emails in the last 24 hours.  I’m trying to clean out my account, not add to it.

Are you still having this issue since cleaning them out?

Option 1: Turn off Forum notifications to stop the emails.

    1. Click the profile icon in the upper right of this page.
    2. Click Settings menu item
    3. Click Subscriptions tab
    4. Click Unsubscribe for each Forum group listed.

You don't need to click "Save".

This will stop notifications in the Forum groups (TV Forum, Internet, Phone, Apps) where "Unsubscribe" was selected.

I would be better if Cox did not do this in the first place.

Cox wouldn't have had anything to do with this.  It was most likely caused when their software vendor was fixing something else and accidentally enabled an existing email notification process that had been disabled for years.  But, it appears the emails have stopped now.

    I'm stalking you.

It appears you subscribed to the Internet Group last year.
