Endless issues with cox

I'm honestly so tired of using cox. The area where I live is only covered by cox so I can't really use any other competitors. I have constant issues with my internet cutting out for minutes at a time. The router will suddenly be blinking orange and green and there's absolutely nothing I can do about it. I've made the issue clear with multiple tech support agents and have always been reluctant to schedule a visit because they charge you a hundred bucks. Eventually I give in and the technician comes. He fixes the issue temporarily and then the issues come back, so there's a hundred bucks wasted. I just can't take it anymore. I feel like cox just keeps taking my money for internet that doesn't even work when I need it to.

First, do you have a panoramic gateway? Second, what did the technician say the issue was when they were out there? You should only be charged for a issue with the wiring past where it connects to your electrical ground. Basically anything inside is yous so they charge to "repair it". However if you still have the issue, the problem wasn't fixed and you should contact the billing department for them to credit that charge. Last, how does the coax get from the pole/street to the room the modem/gateway is in? Any splitters/amp/filters? Are you internet only?

Hi Jacg and Acbet3, I want your internet to work just as I expect my own to work, and I apologize that hasn't been happening. It's important to let us know that you're experiencing issues so we can resolve what's happening. If an applied fix is only temporary, we need to know that so we can continue troubleshooting. You are not charged for a service call if the issue is with Cox equipment or Cox signal delivery. Please email my team at Cox.Help@cox.com so we can further assist you. You deserve reliability!
