Does Cox send you text messages asking you to call?

I received a text message from someone named Jill that supposedly works at Cox. Asking if we can talk.  704-774-3538.  They are requesting when they can call me to discuss my services. Is this legit? Seems really fake.

    Sounds like someone is phishing. You have to opt-in to receive text alerts from Cox. Text notification preferences are only used for appointment reminders, data usage billing notifications, or order confirmations.     Did you previously contact Cox about your service?  If not, ignore.  Even if it is Cox, Jill wants to sell you something you obviously don't need.
