Does COX Homelife rely on the obsolete G3 network for cellular backup?

All major cellular carriers are discontinuing G3. While the main connection of my Homelife center is through COX cable, it has a cellular backup in case the cable connection is down. However, I am worried that it may be using G3 and hence become obsolete. Does anyone know whether this is the case? A lot of Homelife customers may be in for a rude awakening if someone tried to break in and no alarm goes out during a cable outage.
