Connection issues at night

besides network congestion,  what could possibly cripple my speeds mostly at night?  And im talking all night, early morning, and in between.

I have a technician coming Thursday. He's been really observant of my network and has even used a ping plotter to determine if my im losijg signal.  He said everything looks great.. then after further investigation, he noticed that it starts around night time. And also noted at a specific time of the night, he detected 100% packet loss. (Upload speeds and packet loss being my main issue lately)

He mentioned that there is a possibility that when the lights on the utility pole turn on when it starts getting dark, it is causing interference. But he will be here to try to figure it out.

Has anyone heard of this?  And anything else that could be slowing me down?

  1. Like I said...sometimes im up at 3am gaming and the issue still persists. I know *** well the networks aren't congested at thus time of night

yes the utility poles can cause interference, could be your issue, but I had this same issue, my packetloss at night would go from 9pm to the next day around 8am. I kept calling and calling, the maintenance crew kept coming to my house and calling me giving updates, they told me that they are just fixing everything they can, and it was the node giving issues, and house were backfeeding packetloss into the node, causing that loss. My loss isn't 100% gone as of now, it's low though, around 1-3%, and games are now playable during the night.

Just keep pushing them to do something, Keep getting techs out too, ask for supervisors.
