Promotional pricing is a scam because...as superbigwaff noted...providers will recoup money with hidden fees and inconsistent pricing the following year. I mean, if you can pay a lower rate, fine, but don't switch solely for a temporary deal.
However...it may be worth a shot to go with ATT for a more dependable service...if this was an issue with Cox..
