Is this a case of operator error??? I have been a Cox customer for the last 3 years. Prior to that, I lived in OH and received cable services from Spectrum. A DVR Recording feature they provided was to be able to capture & record a program I'd currently be viewing, back to the spot in the program I could rewind to. Cox, on the other hand, only seems to be able to capture & record a program currently being viewed from the point you press record. So often, I see a live program (especially news programs) where I'd like to capture & record what was just said, but can't.

Hello. I understand that you wish to know if you can watch a recording prior to when you pushed record? I can certainly assist you with this. If it's a series on tv then yes it'll record the entire show however if it's not then you would only be able to watch it from when you pressed record. You can tell which because when you press record if it doesn't ask you whether to "record this episode only" or "entire series". Those you can watch from the beginning. If it doesn't offer this option then you can watch it only from when you pressed record. I hope this helps. Is there anything else I can assist you with today?
