When Spectrum took over from Cox, we lost access to all the streaming apps installed on smart tv's and devices such as FireTV, Google TV operating systems on various tv's from Ensignia, Hisense, Sony.
Apps like CNN, MSNOW etc are now not being able to access and authenticate, regardless if you're paying for these channels with your Cox-Spectrum accounts, as we are.
As soon as Spectrum took over, it appears they have cancelled this access we've always enjoyed with Cox, in other words, it would appear that Spectrum is cheaping-out on paying the license fees to these services so paying customers cannot continue to watch via their smart-devices.
If anyone has been able to make this work since the Spectrum takeover, please post your methods.
I was told by a CSR that the ONLY apps you can now access are the ones they've decided to support, which you will find on your dashboard tv services page.
Bad call, Spectrum. With our current $370 month bill, you're likely going to lose us as customers over this.
We can get internet and six dvr's with full access from Youtube as one example only for far less.
Don't be idiots, Spectrum - return access to streaming apps where we already pay for the service with our cable bill.

Yes having same issues with Paramount Plus which I pay for. Don’t want them to switch equipment and lose all my dvr recordings.
