Daily Update Time feature

Can the Daily Update Time feature on a Contour minibox expectantly turn on my 20 year old Samsung TV like an alarm clock at 4AM. The TV is plugged info a separate wall outlet so it must be getting some signal from the minibox? It never happened in 6 years since my installation and just started a few weeks ago. Tried new remote batteries and unplugging/rebooting the minibox.Really annoying! Called their support person but they didn't have any ideas other than the things I already tried.Thanks
