WLAN IP address range

Hello,

I need to access some protected service on the web. The responsible on this service doesn't want to open his service to all IP addresses, he is asking me what is the possible range that I can get (I mean the router WLAN IP address - not the LAN addresses) from my provider.

Can you provide me this range ? (the COX IP range that I may get)

Thx.

Unfortunately this will actually vary depending on the needs of the network at any given time.  If your service provider is relying on IP ranges for authentication they may be inadvertently exposing themselves by opening up specific IP ranges and then having those ranges be allocated to new customers.

@Chris...

What he is asking for is for Cox's possible Internet-facing IP blocks, like 68.106.x.x that I have now.  In my admin background, this would be used more to block ranges, but this person seems to be wanting to use them to allow.  I *think* that there is also a process where new IP ranges are advertised to the internet as a whole via some protocol or by alerts, but this is getting beyond my level of experience, so I am fuzzy on that.  I do recall people having problems playing a game I once played because their IP ranges were set in a firewall to be dropped (blocked) because Orange over in Europe had changed and the new range was blocked.  I guess it could've also been the new range was not in the allowed range, but the game company did not provide all those details, naturally.
