Internet

I recognize that Hurricane Isaias disrupted our area, yet some neighbors near my address have restored service while I do not. It is somewhat frustrating to lack connectivity, especially since my television relies on the internet and I cannot watch it. With the children out of school, the absence of internet feels rather unfortunate.

Hello jamirdasilva,

If you are still facing an impact and the outage alert is no longer present for you when you check on the My Spectrum App or the Cox App, then our support may need to help investigate to be sure we're aware and working out solutions. If there is an issue not related to a network alert that we need to report, then we can check that out. Could you please reach our support if you continue to face an issue? Please message us at https://www.facebook.com/Spectrum/ or on X at @Ask_Spectrum for support. Thank you.

@DustinP can’t even sign in on the app now. “Experiencing technical difficulties” it says. Not that it makes any difference, there’s no information there anyway. Just a standard “we are working on it” box and no method of getting any specific information.

I do apologize for the lack of information. If there are any notes on this outage, we would be glad to share them with you. Reach out to us on Twitter at @CoxHelp, or visit us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/coxcommunications  so that we may look up your specific outage there. Thank you, in advance. -Chris

@ChrisJ2 Not everyone is on X or FB, especially when they don’t have internet and are communicating with one bar cell service. How about putting some actual information on the app and web site instead of the placating “we are working on it?”
