I was away for several days. When I came back home, the wifi did not work anymore. The signal's there on my ipads, laptops and phone, but all my devices couldn't connect to the internet. When I tried to open the web browser, it said that the web page could not be displayed. Tried to turn on and off the power for several times. That did not work. I connected all my devices with my phone's wlan hotspot, they worked fine.
Tried to call the support, got transferred to CPS and instead of fixing the problem, they tried to sell me some extra services that would cost me 33 dollars each month for three months.

Do you have a gateway or modem & router? What make and model? Are all the lights on your modem normal?
Can you connect wired? If you haven't tried, unplug your modem & turn off your laptop. Connect an Ethernet cable directly from your modem to your laptop, do not connect your router if you have one. Power on the modem and wait 2-3 mins for all the lights to become normal. Power on your laptop. Can you connect?
Please post make/model and results, we can go from here.

I have a Netgear 3000 modem. I noticed that the upstream light on the modem was blinking all the time. I tried to connect the cable directly to my laptop. It did not work. I tried power on and off the modem and turned off and on my laptop couple times. That did not work. I wonder if there's any issues with the blinking light?

When that light is blinking it means it is scanning for an upstream channel. Have you reset the router already? We can check the signal levels to the modem as well, can you please email us at cox.help@cox.com and include the name and address listed on the account. Thanks!
