Whole Home DVR
When I upgraded to whole room DVRs I was told they would be able to record 4 shows shortly. Since Cox has introduced Contour, is what I was told in error, or is the 4 show record capability still coming out. I did notice my bill says I'm paying for Contour DVRs?

What is the model number of your DVR? Only the "Record 6" DVR (Cisco 9865HDC) will record more than two channels. The Cisco 8642HDC and 8742HDC will only record two channels. All Trio capable DVRs are called "Contour DVRs." [Why, I don't know.]

It sounds like what you have is a pair of whole home DVR host boxes. Each one would allow you to record two programs at once for a total of 4. These are now also referred to as Contour DVRs.
