Have an audio problem. When I watch a program recorded on the other dvr, the audio drops out intermittently. If I reset both boxes (a real pain in the lower lumbar region) it will work for a while and then the problem returns. After a while, it will tell me that there is a temporary problem and it can't play the program. If I go to the dvr I recorded the program on, it plays fine. Reset the boxes ( there is that lower lumbar pain again) and it plays OK again for a little while. I've already dumped the Internet and phone because of poor service (5 days with no email service and no refund on charges; y'all claimed the email was a free service; gee, what the heck was that monthly $54.95 charge on my Cox bill?). The only reason I haven't dumped y'all for tv is that my landlord will not allow holes to be drilled in the walls so I can't get DirecTV and OTARD in NW Arkansas is not a possibility. Is there a solution to this problem or do I need to move?

It sounds like the boxes are having difficulty communicating with each other if recordings work on the box which they were recorded. I suspect there is a signal issue between the two and that restating the boxes is only temporarily resolving the problem. It may be necessary at this point to arrange for a technician to come troubleshoot further.
