Upgrading Firmware on Cisco DPC3010

I called tech support to try and get my firmware upgraded from ver. 091119a to the latest but he said they cannot upgrade the firmware. Can someone direct me as to how this can be done.

If you recently upgraded to a DOCSIS 3.0 modem and previously had Premier serivce your account may still be setup for 2.0 Premier service.  There is a different billing code that needs to be on your account if you have a 3.0 modem and Premier service.  There is no difference in charges for this but I would speak with our local account services team and see if this change needs to be made on your account.

I sent the latest update however the signals are quite a bit out of specification at the modem so I don't think that's going to correct anything.  Is there some other issue going on with your connection?

Thanks for the quick reply Chris. I received the update and was hoping it would solve my speed issue. After the update i'm still getting between 20 - 27Mbps on premier. I also noticed that the Link light is flashing amber and not green, would that have something to do with my speed issue?

The amber link light indicates that the device connected negotiated a 10 or 100Mbps link to the modem.  It'll turn green when you connect a gigabit enabled Ethernet connection.  What speeds do you think you should getting?

I was hoping to achieve speeds greater than 20 - 27Mbps being that i'm paying for premium service. I don't expect to see upwards of 50Mbps as the premium advertisement states, but i'd like speeds greater than when I was using a DOCSIS 2.0 modem with preferred service. I'm wondering if my area which is Las Vegas is capable of premium speeds or if its setup to handle DOCSIS 3.0 modems yet.

Thanks for your help Chris. I'm now getting download speeds between 62 - 65 Mbps after the change was made. This was far more than I expected. Again, I appreciate all your help.
