Stop "Shotzi Hosting" spam !!!

There is a discussion from September/October called "Spam out of control" discussing the spam sent from random email addresses, with bad unsubscribe links, which all say

To stop receiving email offers please click here (a bad link) or write to: Shotzi Hosting, PO Box 29502 #31212 Las Vegas, NV  89126-9502.

These emails have only graphics, no text.  They come from random email addresses.

These are coming into my Cox mailbox that I use exclusively for bills and bank accounts.  It disturbs me to the core that spammers got this address.

COX - YOU  NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.

The first thing I would suggest doing is using the report spam feature if within webmail to submit these message for review as spam.  If you're using an email client the procedure would be to send them as attachments to a new email message addressed to spamreport@cox.net.  Should these messages all appear to be coming from a specific sender you could also try using the allow/block sender's feature in webmail.

This looks like an auto-reply.

In case it is not, I will repeat:

These messages all come from different senders.  .com, .net, .us, etc.  And there is no text in the messages, just images of text with a link underneath them.  So there is no way to filter them at the user level.

As was noted in the other thread that I mentioned, "Shotzi Hosting" spam is a well known problem.  Cox had better be working on this already.  I want to know when they will begin blocking it.

So let's please move this request past the "Social Media Support" account, and would an actual technical person please reply.

The information given above is accurate for messages with no text in them that could be filtered in that way. With reporting the messages both the automated system and the security departments would be able to flag those messages as spam on the servers side but it does require so many reports. I will let them know as well to keep a eye out for that host.
