Skip Channels Still Doesn't Work - Open Ticket/Problem 2+ Years

Will Cox either take this functionality listing out of the SW or hire someone who knows how to develop software that actually works?

We dropped Cox due to the horrible Contour SW, but just moved into a location where Cox is the default bulk HOA TV provider.  And guess what, skip channels still not working.

India may be cheap for programmers, but the quality stinks.

Are you using Contour? Channel skip works fine for me with Contour.

No.  We dropped Cox because of Contour.  Daily freezing, hard reboots required, lost recordings, partial recordings.  Was the worst TV service we've had in 35 years.

Note that the SW loaded on each box should only provide functionality that the box can support.  I've been doing just this for 25 years, it's not rocket science.

The local installer pulled out the new mini-box (2nd one) said that most of them fail updates and are junk.  He left the Explorer 8240HD.  After reading the endless messes created by Cox on various boxes, I'm going to hazard a guess that if we decide to keep the free Cox service, we're going to have to skate through their endless schlock. My son and I bypass Cox TV, it's only my wife who watches at most three channels, and she'll have to live with it.

@Guilden_NL

Hello. I am truly sorry that you had to endure such an experience with us. Are you having any issues with the cablebox?

This box is working as a bare bones receiver, ala 1980 but at least receiving.

Hi Guilden_NL,

When you say the box is working as a "bare bones receiver," are you referring to the Explorer 8240HD? Are you missing any channels or Guide functions?
