Remote DVR access

 I just saw a commercial for Xfinity advertising that their customers can now see their DVR programs they record remotely anywhere.

When can we expect a similar feature for Cox? 

CBS is requiring a subscription to watch their shows... Apparently ignoring cable subscribers.  

Why does a Cox customer have to wait until they are home to watch their recorded or in some cases not recorded programs? That's like we are in the days when landlines were popular. Wait until you get home to make a call!

You can schedule your DVR remotely to record by using our Cox TV Connect or Contour app.  These work with most iPad's any many Android tablets, check the iTunes store or Google Play for compatibility with your particular device.

Thank you. I know I can schedule programs to record, but I want to watch what I record remotely ...  i.e. Not on my Cox network!

I think the OP was asking when the ability to WATCH recorded shows remotely will happen....not just schedule recordings remotely.

As Cox has implemented it, remote scheduling is a useless function ... crippled at very best.  You can request your DVR record but can't see what is already scheduled.  It may tell you there is a conflict but doesn't say with what.  You can't even cancel a recording or even change something you just scheduled.  Cox has been promising a 2 way system since they first came out with the Connect app ... where is it???????

Just did a test, tried scheduling a show which I knew was a conflict.  It did tell me, I choose override and schedule anyway.  Now I have 3 entries (2 tuner dvr) in the scheduled recordings list but 2 are the same.  I'm not sure what's going to record as the single entry doesn't show up with the record icon in the guide, only the duplicated show has the record icon.  Will I get 2 copies of the one show????  Another instance of a very very buggy Contour system.
