I tried to check the modem from this end however it appears offline. If TV is working I suspect a local cabling or maybe a splitter issue. I'd suggest checking all of the cabling for loose connections or damage or trying to bypass any cable splitters in use to see if that helps.
I dont have a splitter and all my connetions are ok. The power light on the modem is soild. As is the light below it, althou it does blink sometime. The third light is blinking and the light below that is out. The last light is on.
The next step would be for a field tech to evaluate and indicate the trouble and work toward a fix. Thanks for your time here today, and allowing us the opportunity to look into the signal.
If you're having trouble getting a modem activated I can see where a provisioning issue might be a problem. Email us at cox.help@cox.com with your account info and we can check on what's going on for you.
I arrived home from work last night to find both phone and internet to be down. It eventually came back up but it seems rather disconcerting that had there been reason/emergency to make a call I''d have been S.O.L.
This is a pattern... at times learning that outages are scheduled maintenance and going back and forth with customer reps about why no notification that service interruptions are in the works... seems a good reason to employ robocalling and launch mass emails... since Cox provides both services.
A message on my answering machine would have answered questions of why services I'm paying good money for were not available.. but instead Cox seems to be tethered to policies that treat these instances as though they are individual customer matters for which service tickets can be issued and tech time wasted paying a visit... and adding a service charge to the next bill.
Whatever the case, be assured that as I was pondering the possible causes of the outage experienced last night I wondered what Frontier offers and whether they have the courtesy to notify paying customers when to expect service interruptions.

Provision problem? Were you trying to get something provisioned onto your account? Not sure how that would effect internet.
