I have a Cisco cable modem model DPQ3212 that keeps dropping the internet connection. This happens intermittently, so I never
know when it will drop the internet connection. Can I just bring it to the Cox Store Nearest me and get a new one. I've tried everything
like resetting it, replacing the splitter that splits the signal to the TV and modem and replacing the ethernet cable with no luck. Also it
gets very hot to the touch. Is this normal? By the way, when the internet connection drops out I lose my telephone connection too.
My telephone is connected to the back of the modem.
Thanks,
Richard A.Grabowy
