I have a Cisco DPQ3212 that I am having to power off and back on every day and some times twice a day. It's been doing this for well over a month or more. Tech support and on-line chat have not been helpful to any degree. All they say is that is is working and I'm getting good signal strength. Well jeez, I guess so after I reset the modem.
I'm thinking of buying a TP Link CR700. Is is supported by Cox and has it been provisioned by Cox?

That modem does appear to be approved however I don't think that's the problem you're experiencing. When I look from here it appears you're using an Apple router. They have a known problem with IPv6 that'll require you to disable it to make the connection stable. That can be done by going into the Internet connection settings on the Airport and setting IPv6 to link-local only.

FYI, a CR700 is a wireless gateway while a DPQ3212 is a phone modem. Do you use Cox phone? If so, you would need to use a cable splitter to have the DPQ3212 and CR700 online at same time. Also, if you plan on still using your apple router, since the CR700 also has a router in it, you would need to set your Airport to AP mode or suffer performance loss.
+1 Disabling IPv6 is a good thing to try before buying anything new.
