$#*& Mini box rentals
Am I the only one incensed that Cox has found yet another way to wrench a few more bucks every month from us by forcing us to rent these mini boxes? I'm already paying a fortune for internet and basic cable, now I have to rent 8 of these *** things @ $3 a month?
Does anyone know if I can purchase these things elsewhere so I'm not being extorted by Cox to rent them forever? Meanwhile, I'm getting a quote from Centurylink first thing tomorrow :(

If you're going to pay for a box anyway, you might as well get one with a DVR on it. I like the Contour HD DVR that records 6 shows at the same time. It's annoying to pay the fee, but at least you're getting something out of it.

If your going to get a DVR, you should get a TiVo Bolt or Roamio Pro, and purchase TiVo Minis for those extra TVs.
