Lost signal issues

Hey there,  hoping to get some assistance here.  I have been having issues with the modem itself dropping out.  Tonight, I wanted to try something out, so I hooked up the modem outside to eliminate my house wiring which is older and questionable at best.

I don't know enough about this stuff to look at the below numbers to know if this is any good or bad.  This is coming from my Motorola Surfboard 6120, if i recall the model correctly.

You aren't the only one scroll through the posts here and many other people are having problems and they dont have an answer for us

Those actually do look like good signal levels in the screen shot you posted.  Ideally the receive levels should be within -10 to +10 and the transmits 35 to 50.

Hey Chris, thanks for the reply.  You are refering to the signal levels in dBmV, correct? Are those the primary metric by which you judge a connection?

How does the SNR factor in to the equation, where should those values be?

Another update, can you offer any insight into these messages from the modem logs?

Those numbers I described outline the power levels for each signal which we consider to be within specification.  SNR or signal to noise ratio describes the ratio of good signal relative to noise interference.  35 is what we consider to be the minimum, lower numbers indicate interference coming from somewhere.  The MIMO events in the logs suggest the modem is experiencing some problems finding the bonded channels although when I look at the modem all is well so that may just be a non-persistent issue.

Thanks, it seems to have cleared up now, but to be honest I haven't the foggiest idea what changed.  Same cables, same connections, just all the sudden it became stable. *knock on wood*
