In keeping with the "technical " aspect of the forum I would like to know if there will be another way Cox will be showing CBS broadcast if KLAS turns off their signal to Cox? I could care if you hold firm with KLAS but should be a way to still have a CBS programming station available.

You can still view your favorite programming by connecting a digital antenna. The broadcast is free over-the-air (OTA). Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Thank you for suggestion, and that would work if did not rely on DVR to catch my shows. Will be waiting to Friday to see what happens locally between Cox and KLAS.

Cox can't air CBS programming if they don't agree to terms with the local CBS affiliate. So no Cox will not be airing CBS shows without an agreement with KLAS

Curious to see just how many people will bail or cancel service with Cox because of the dispute with CBS. Most of the shows I watch (Jeopardy, Wheel, NCIS, etc. are Channel 8. And I don't think that it is my responsibility to buy rabbit ears or any other means to access this station. I think that it is all about the money & we are being held captive so some greedy sob can make a few more dollars. Fortunately there other providers here in Las Vegas who can give the customers all channels. I have been a loyal customer for many years with Cox, however, this is B.S. and if they force me to make a change, so be it.

"Fortunately there other providers here in Las Vegas who can give the customers all channels."
And these providers have never had a Retransmission Consent stalemate?

I also want to know how Cox is going to handle this matter. I mostly watch CBS and DVR alot of my shows on that channel. Is Cox going to reduce our rate to compensate for the loss of not being able to view CBS or will have to go to Dish for my TV service?

I agree. I am already looking into changing this week, been with Cox for over 15 years.

If we temporarily loose a Network (there are 9 Cox - Nexstar markets affected) will the Primetime programs be available OnDemand?
Also, for major networks, other than CBS, will the content be available on Hulu, or will it be blocked by IP address.

OnDemand content is also covered by the same re-transmission agreements.
