Severe packet loss on Cox regional routing nodes (Hops 5 & 6) to Zoom

I am experiencing severe connectivity degradation and lagging during my video sessions. I have run an advanced MTR connection test to www3.zoom.us and isolated the issue to Cox's core routing infrastructure.
My local network, gateway, and modem signal levels are clear, but traffic is hitting a major bottleneck immediately after leaving my local ISP pool.

Here are the specific nodes dropping traffic:
  • Hop 5 (68.1.1.13): Showing 80.95% packet loss
  • Hop 6 (72.215.224.171): Showing 75.00% packet loss
Because the packet loss begins exactly at 68.1.1.13 and carries through, this points to a regional routing bottleneck, equipment congestion, or a misconfigured node on the Cox network side rather than a local hardware issue.
Could a community manager or Tier 2/Network Engineer please look into these specific network paths and check the health/capacity of these nodes?
Thank you.

Hello bradphi,

Thank you for reaching out. If you're still finding this issue exists with another traceroute, could you please email us at Cox.Help@cox.com with your name, address with Cox service, URL to this forum comment, and a recent trace? We'll be able to help investigate this further. Thank you, once again.
