Tried to watch a movie on Netflix last night and I finally gave up. Every few minutes, the internet signal would drop out.
This problem has been going on for some time now. Cables are fine and I just purchased a new modem, hoping that would correct the issue. No dice. The Cox homepage was MIA earlier in the day as well. I went to one of those "is it down" websites and checked.
I don't know if the two issues are related.

Hi tsteph, are you connected directly to the modem, or are you using a wireless connection? At the time this was happening were you able to use the internet.(other than the Cox home page)? Do you have any problems streaming from other websites in general?

I am connected directly through an Ethernet cable and of course, when the signal drops out I am unable to access the internet at all. I have replaced the modem, the incoming cable and the splitter. I have eliminated any possibility of the problem being on my end.

What kind of modem do you have and what are its signal levels? Usually find them on the 192.168.100.1 page. If this doesn't work, its probably because you have a gateway.
Second, when you say Cox's webpage was down and checked a "isitdown" site, what did it say? And what date did it happen?
