I have been having trouble with my internet for months. It randomly drops signal, sometimes I can't even connect. I've reset the router multiple times, no success. I've also complained multiple times about this issue and I'm ready to leave cox because I'm paying for services I can't even use.

Kristin2, we need more details. What model modem, router or gateway are you using? Does it drop WiFi, wired or both connections. When you say you can't connect, is that to WiFi or to the internet? Just trying to isolate the problem a bit.

Thanks, Kristin2. Have you tried hardwiring a device directly to the router's Ethernet port? If not, please try, that will find out if a wired connection is stable. Also, are there any speed issues with a wired connection?
If it's a WiFi, how far is the TV from the router? How many walls between them? You may have distance and/or interference issues. You can try changing WiFi channels. Sign on to the router, go to Wireless/Basic Settings/Manual Configuration. Try channel 1, 6 or 11. Select the channel that gives you the best result. If you have an Android smartphone, you can download a free app, "WiFi Analyzer", which will show you interfering access points, what channel(s) they are on and your signal strength.

It sounds like a signal extender may help with the wireless issues that you're running into. AllenP offered a good suggestion, changing the channel on the router is a good idea as well. We can investigate this further for you, please email us at cox.help@cox.com and include the name and address listed on the account. Thanks!
