IMAP server troubles
Is there currently something wrong with The Cox email server? I cannot get my email from any device?
does Cox ever post the current outages? If so where? If not, then suggest there should be a page on the Cox website to post outages, etc.

I am continuously seeing the same problem. IMAP server connection can't be established. I'm using Outlook 2010 with the most up-to-date patches and Windows 8.1 with all the latest up to date patches on a Dell XPS 8700 tower. This has been an ongoing problem for many months. The problem occurs on my Dell desktop, my Dell laptop, my MacBook Pro laptop, and my iPhone. It has nothing to do with my settings because in 2 or 5 or 20 minutes or longer, the devices will connect and finally update mail. I've posted before and complained that Cox needs to fix this issue or post IMAP server status on the web page so paying customers know the status. This is my second complaint about this issue. COX needs to step up and answer me and resolve the issue. I am in the Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA service area.

I'm having the same problem in Mission Viejo, Orange County, California. Cox IMAP e-mail is mostly unavailable. Every once in a while it will "blink" back into service, but fail shortly thereafter.
"The server returned the error: The connection to the server “imap.cox.net” on port 993 timed out."
I can get to WebMail to see my messages. I am also able to access other e-mail providers, such as Apple iCloud.

LOL. This problem with the IMAP servers has been ongoing since November. Do you really think your plea will get any action? File an online FCC complaint and you may have a chance.
