After a few days of not having any problems, today I've been getting IMAP server timeouts. I worry that next Monday when traffic returns to normal, the service will become non-functional again.
Interesting that after I submitted my error information and email passwords to tech support, I never heard back as to what was found or what steps needed to be taken, either by me or Cox. I suspect that once I received the 'thank you for supplying the information' email, nothing further was done.

We are still monitoring this issue. I see by previous notes on the account that use both a pc and a phone to check email using IMAP settings. Is this still the case? Are you getting the errors on both devices?

My iPhone has been OK - no delays or error messages. Today my PC has also been OK. Yesterday morning I was having problems with the PC only.

As expected, with more people accessing email, the IMAP server problem has returned. I am so glad that ColleenD has reported that Cox is still 'monitoring the problem' Maybe they could fix the problem instead. It's only been two months since the dropouts on the IMAP server in Southern California/Arizona started affecting service.

Aha - Finally a solution. Don't check your email and you won't get any error messages. Brilliant!!!!
