Guide Channel Time 6 minutes behind real time
Have others noticed that the time at the top of the display on the Guide channel is ALWAYS 6 minutes behind satellite time. So at the top and half hours, the guide doesn't update until HH:06 or HH:36? When it is HH:00 or HH:30, on your phone or any device that synchs to satellite time, Cox guide channel doesn't know that and for the next 6 minutes will show you what you could have been watching.
One would think that since they can deliver programming at the correct time, they could have the guide channel recognize the correct time. However, when I reported it I told they need # number of people to report the same issue before they can take action. They can't provide what the magic number is, and the tech support reps aren't in an area serviced by Cox so they can't see it for themselves.

what do you mean guide channel? As far as I know cox only has onscreen guides via the boxes have you tried unplugging the boxes to reset the clock if that is what you mean.

I recommend powercycling the box. This will reset the guide. It can take 30 min to an hour for the guide to load back up. Please let us know the results.

My apologies I used guide channel when i guess i should have said online guide. Yes, I have tried unplugging the boxes a number of times. The time on the online guide (top of page above program summary) is still 6 minutes behind real time.

Between two households I have 5 mini boxes all display the wrong time when using the online guide. All are model number DTA 250HD

My minibox's guide clock is correct to the second.

Mark K thanks for responding. Perhaps your reply led Cox to look at the time on the East Coast servers. All my mini boxes now have the right time.

Still have problems with mine, but my times are off by 1 to 2 minutes
